It’s been a long while since I’ve uploaded pics so I should put up some pictures from the past wedding season. As you saw from Ken & Teisha’s wedding teaser, their wedding was full of fun and laughter. Here are some pics!
Teisha was a beautiful bride!
Ken was a gentleman doing rounds in the rain holding the umbrella for all the ladies.
I’ve been so busy out of town that I haven’t had a chance to post anything in a while. I recently got back and have a ton of pics from my travels to post which I’ll get up shortly but for now, I’ll share with you a couple of my favourite pictures from my Europe and Africa trip this past month. I’m looking to launch a personal travel photography site in the short term and will announce more details here on my blog shortly. Thanks for faithfully following despite the lack of updates recently!
Had a great time shooting Ken and Teisha’s wedding last night – I’ll post more about it later but here’s a short teaser – enjoy! Hope the happy couple is having a great time on their honeymoon. Play it via the vimeo link below to view in HD.
I really want to give props to Richard, who’s been one of my good friends in life and who’s helped me immensely in getting this website up. Everything from the main page to the subpages to the design of the blog you see here, he’s been a big part of.
I was delighted when he asked me to shoot his second engagement (to the same girl!) Why? – 1) cause he’s just the kind of guy who will go one step beyond for Assunta and 2) cause he’s just that confident that she’ll say yes again and 3) he wanted a few pics since he didn’t have any that first time. So he set up some lights (which still kept it almost pitch black in there, shooting at 3200 ISO), got a couple hundred candles and put them all over the backyard, set up some music and popped the question…again.
I’ll share a couple from that day, but don’t worry I’ll exclude the potato chips Assunta!
September 23, 2009 - 10:49 amRichard - I love it! Thanks so much for staying up late to help me out with this!!! They look amazing!
I think I see the bag of potato chips in the first pic. :-)

I had the pleasure of going out with a wonderful family for a little photosession this past weekend. What started off as a family session quickly became a princess-Taylor shoot as she stole the show with her big smile and soon had us at her disposal collecting sand and pine cones for her in between pictures. Special thanks to Nevin and Ray for dropping by and helping out and Richard for helping with the video editing process. It was my first time using the Canon 5D mkii for video but the family was so fun and photogenic that it made it so easy and enjoyable. Enjoy!
My apologies for not updating this blog in a while – it’s been so busy recently trying to get clients their pictures, meeting new clients and of course, enjoying the summer as it winds down. I had the privilege of shooting Jer and Steph’s wedding as they’re good friends of mine. They are both so authentic and so genuine and that’s how their love for each other is as well. You could tell as she was walking down the aisle that they were both doing their best to hold back the tears but once they were together, there was just so much joy and so much love. It was such an honour to witness and be part of their big day – onto some pics…
I had such a great time shooting Dan & Karen’s wedding – it was especially fun because I know them both for quite a while now and have been blessed to watch their love for each other mature and grow. I still remember Karen telling me years ago about the first time this guy liked her and now being able to celebrate their relationship at their wedding is a beautiful thing. Anyways, onto some pictures!
There was so much emotion as he sees his bride for the first time
The evening reception was a full of fun, life and emotion, strongly taking on the character of the beautiful couple.
Of course, the dance was full of good times for all!
Dan & Karen, I wish you all the joy and happiness as you continue to bless those around you.
I was up early with the lovely Sharon from Picsyl Photography to shoot Jack + Ams’ wedding this past weekend. The weather was perfect and the ceremony was held in a small outdoor chapel, giving it a very intimate feel. We had a great time as Jack and Ams were a lot of fun and their entire bridal party was so easy going and sweet.
I was with Jack as he was getting ready for the big day in the morning with his groomsmen.
September 23, 2009 - 7:32 pmAms - It was great working with you James. We were really pleased with the shots.
September 23, 2009 - 9:30 pmjcl - thanks it was great working with you guys! and i love that you guys chronicled your entire wedding journey, including post-wedding at http://jam.slicio.us/blogs/wedding-blog/! a great resource for newly engaged couples to get an idea of what you guys went through.
This is long overdue as I’ve been off travelling but a couple weeks ago, Chris & I had the wonderful adventure of shooting a Sri-Lankan engagement for an extremely fun couple, Siva & Nila. Like the couple, the festivities were full of life and colour from the lively dancing to the personal speeches. Most significantly though, it was a wonderful opportunity to witness (and experience) the love between Siva and Nila.
New blog, new site, new post, but most importantly, newly married couple. They’re probably flying over the Atlantic as we speak on their way to a wonderful European honeymoon! The outdoor wedding and luncheon was lovely and the evening reception was full of fun, dance-offs and great times as the drinks flowed. Giz/Matt, it’s been such a pleasure to be part of your beautiful day – you guys are awesome.
Onto a couple pictures: Matt was so excited to see Giz…and Giz of course was gorgeous!
